There will be a special election for the proposed formation of the Clockville Water District Aug. 13, 2019. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lincoln Fire House, 7224 Old Co. Road West, Canastota.
If you wish to vote in the special election, you must be a resident of the proposed area and registered by July 19, 2019.
Anyone who has moved since they last registered must re-register. Registration forms are available from the Madison County Board of Elections by calling (315) 366-2231 or downloaded from madisoncounty.ny.gov/boe. Forms are also available at post offices and town, city and village clerk’s offices. With a NYS driver’s license you can register online at MyDMV dmv.ny.gov. Voters can verify their registration and enrollment at voterlookup.elections.ny.gov.
If you wish to vote by absentee ballot, forms are available from the Madison County Board of Elections by calling 315.366.2231 or by visiting madisoncounty.ny.gov/boe or in person at 138 North Court St., Building 4, Wampsville, where voters may fill out an absentee form and vote in person. Absentee ballots will be available after July 10, 2019.
