Ilion man in serious condition following motorcycle crash in Herkimer County
State Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that occurred July 8 on State Route 51 in the town of Litchfield, Herkimer County.
The investigation has revealed a 2001 Suzuki operated by Bernard L. Ganzmann, 71, from Ilion, was southbound on State Route 51 when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and struck a guide rail.
Ganzmann was ejected and landed in the southbound lane of travel. He was transported by Mercy Flight to SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse for internal injuries and is listed in serious condition.
The investigation continues.
State police seek public assistance with identifying an individual in surveillance photos
State police in Watertown are investigating a larceny that occurred June 22, 2019, at the Walmart Store on Route 3 in Watertown.
An unknown male left the store with items valued at $37.38 without rendering payment.
