Owner of DJM Construction arrested on grand larceny charges
State police arrested Daniel J. Mace, 28, of Kirkville, on two counts of third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony.
Mace, owner of DJM Construction, was charged with accepting more than $59,000 in payments for construction jobs and never completing any of the work on the projects.
Mace was arraigned in Chittenango Village Court and was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Sullivan Town Court at 1 p.m. Aug. 20, 2019.
UPDATED: State police search for car hauler that was stolen from Oneida County business
On July 12, state police located the missing trailer after receiving a tip that it was found abandoned near a storage garage in the town of Lee.
The investigation continues.

State police in Marcy are investigating the theft of a 32-foot white Polaris tri-axle car hauler that was taken some time between June 30 and July 1 from Sports Unlimited, Horatio Street, Deerfield.

State police seek public assistance with vandalism investigation in Oswego County
On July 8, 2019, state police responded to a criminal mischief complaint at the Champlain Commons Housing Complex in the town of Scriba.
The investigation has revealed that someone vandalized the outside of doors, siding, concrete and excavator equipment, spray-painting vulgar images, including a swastika. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $3,000.

Two arrested following an underage drinking initiative in Lewis County
On July 11, 2019, state police conducted an underage drinking initiative in the Lewis County towns of Lowville, Leyden, Lewis, Greig, Watson and West Turin and in the villages of Lowville and Lyons Falls.
As a result of the initiative, the following locations were checked; state police would like to commend these businesses for complying during this initiative and helping to prevent underage drinking:

- Nice N Easy – 3033 SR 26, Constableville
- Stewarts – 7491 S. State St., Lowville
- Sunoco A Plus – 7509 S. State St., Lowville
- FasTrac – 5610 Shady Ave., Lowville
- Lyons Falls Liquors—6085 McAlpine St., Lyons Falls
- Kinney Drugs—7395 Utica Blvd., Lowville

The following locations were found NOT to be in compliance with the laws dealing with the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 21:

As a result of the initiative, Rebecca C. Lynch, 25, Martinsburg; and Cynthia M. Nellenback, 56, West Leyden, were charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child (PL 260.20) and prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under 21 years old (ABC 65-1). Each was issued appearance tickets and released.
Dexter man arrested on child pornography charges
State police charged William L. Beyette, 76, of Dexter, for Promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony.
Beyette is accused of downloading images of minors between the ages of 11 and 14 engaging in sexual acts with an adult, consistent with child pornography. He was arraigned in LeRay Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
Beyette is scheduled to appear in Brownville Town Court at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1, 2019.
