General admission is $10; members pay $8 and students pay $5.
D’Funk’D is a nine-piece pop horn band featuring five horns, rhythm section and vocals performed by music teachers from throughout Central New York. Members include Greg Brockway, James Behret, Nate Kishman and Sherisse Bell from Utica; Henryk Lotyczewski from Sauquoit, Richard China from Holland Patent, Lindsay Burress from Cazenovia, plus Paul Ukena and Mike Gentile.
D’Funk’D performance at the Remsen Arts Center will include swing and jazz standards such as In The Mood, Pink Panther and Sing Sing Sing followed by pop, funk and dance favorites from the 1960s through present. They combine that music with the power and energy of a funk horn section to create a wondrous musical experience.
The members of D’Funk’D feel that creating a special connection with the audience is the most enjoyable aspect of performing.
