State police in Herkimer is investigating a home invasion that occurred around 1 p.m. Dec. 20, 2019, at 149 Schaffer Road, Russia.
Two masked men forcibly entered the residence and assaulted the male homeowner and demanded property. Troopers are searching for two male suspects. The first male is described as being approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall and 175 pounds; the second male is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 140 to 150 pounds, wearing a ball cap with MONEY in white lettering.
Both suspects were wearing black clothing and ski masks; they may have left in a gray Ford Escort.
The victim was transported to an area hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
