Just before 10 p.m. Dec. 27, 2019, Utica police were dispatched to 1001 Oriskany St. regarding a male gunshot victim. Upon arrival, they located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen.
It was reported that the victim was inside 1001 Oriskany St. when several males entered, and an argument ensued. During the interaction, a shot was fired and the male was struck. The suspects then fled the scene.
The victim’s injuries are not considered life-threatening at this point, and the investigation is ongoing.
