Adults of all ages are invited to the New Woodstock Free Library at 2106 Main St. for the weekly series of events. Each Thursday at 6 p.m., a different activity will be offered to the public to encourage community members to de-stress, have fun and make new friends. All events are free. No sign-up is required unless otherwise noted.
The January schedule of Thursday Night
Out is as follows:
Thursday, Jan. 9 – Book Group: Come discuss the novel Let the Great
World Spin by Colum McCann. Although sign-up is not required, please call
315-662-3134 or email newwoodstock@midyork.org to reserve your copy of each month’s book.
Thursday, Jan. 16 – Card Creation: Stop by any time between 6 and 8 p.m. to make a greeting card for nursing home residents in the county. Card-making supplies will be provided. Sponsored by the Madison County Office for the Aging.
Thursday, Jan. 23 – Puzzle Night: Grab a jigsaw puzzle and either work at your own pace, or race against another team to see who can complete theirs first.
Thursday, Jan. 30 – Book Buzz: Unlike a traditional book club, this event is a chance to talk about anything and everything you’ve been reading and what books you’re looking forward to in the future. Share your book picks with others and get suggestions in return.
