After joining state and local officials for the groundbreaking of the Nexus Center in Utica, Congressman Anthony Brindisi issued the following statement:
“Today’s announcement of the Nexus Sports Center is a game changer for our region. This new complex will attract thousands of people from outside the region and will generate millions in tourism annually. I applaud Governor [Andrew] Cuomo and Oneida County for supporting this project as well as Utica Comets President Rob Esche for his bold vision. Utica and the Mohawk Valley have so much to offer and now we will have a world-class sports complex to complement our local economy.”
