Community Memorial Hospital’s network of primary care providers continues to grow, as a new family medicine doctor joins the team.
Niambi Brown, M.D., received her medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, in Richmond, Vir., after earning her bachelor’s in behavioral biology from John Hopkins University. She brings years of work experience with her, previously working primarily downstate. As a physician, Brown treated patients for a wide variety of medical issues, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
“Dr. Brown’s experience includes many important services that we provide to our patients at Community Memorial,” said Chief Medical Officer Dr. Michael Walsh. “We enthusiastically welcome her to the team and feel that she will be a valued asset in our mission of bringing quality care close to home.”
Having cared for patients ranging from newborns to the elderly, Brown also has experience with women’s health services and worked closely with patients surrounding nutritional health-related to obesity, kidney disease, diabetes and other various metabolic diseases.
“I am looking forward to building my patient base here within the Community Memorial network, and collaborating with my peers for patient care,” Brown said.
