Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

Zachary LaQuay from Oneida, assigned to the Company D, 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry received a promotion to the rank of Private 1st Class.

Brandon Bamba from Syracuse, assigned to the Headquarters and Service Company, 642nd Support Battalion received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.

Adam McNamara from Oriskany Falls, assigned to the Company B (Combat Engineer), 152nd Brigade Engineer Battalion received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant 1st Class.

Matthew Stamp from Oneida Castle, assigned to the 206th Military Police Company received a promotion to the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
