October is Star Wars Reads month at the New Woodstock Free Library, which is celebrating the occasion with a reading challenge and prizes. Participation is open to people of all ages.

Starting Oct. 1, 20212, participants may pick up their Reading Log at the library (located at 2016 Main St.). For every 15 minutes they read or listen to audiobooks, they will check off one box on the Reading Log.

Reading can be from any book, not just Star Wars books.

For the chance to win prizes, Reading Logs should be returned to the library by Oct. 30.

  • Everyone who returns a Reading Log will receive a Star Wars sticker.
  • The first 25 people who return Reading Logs are eligible to receive a special Star Wars library card if they read at least three hours during the month.
  • Everyone who logs at least three hours of reading will be entered to win a Star Wars fleece throw blanket.

Star Wars Reads Month is a nationwide initiative celebrated annually to promote the love of reading and Star Wars.
