The Madison County Rural Health Council Board of Directors has selected Christine Paul as its new executive director thanks, in part, to her experience working for Chenango County nonprofits.
According to representatives of the Madison County Rural Health Council, Paul has a background as deputy director of Chenango Health Network in Chenango County. Paul started her leadership role Aug. 23 after serving 13 years with the Chenango Health Network.
“I have been getting to know the Madison County Rural Health Council staff and board members.” Paul said. “I am excited for this opportunity and I look forward to building continued collaborations within Madison County. I am very impressed with how the leaders come together to get things done and I am eager to be a part of that.”
Paul said her experience in non-profit administration along with her extensive work designing and implementing programs that focus on social determinants of health will help guide her as she leads the Madison County Rural Health Council into its next chapter.
“My goal is to grow the council programmatically and provide more direct service for the individuals and families of Madison County,” she said. “The mission of the rural health council is to advocate, inform and coordinate efforts to improve health in our community. I’m excited to be able to make a difference in Madison County, and I hope my experience in Chenango County helps me do that.”
