Local Students Receive Scholarships at Clarkson University

The following students received scholarships at Clarkson University during the 2012-2013 academic year:

Jordan D. Yagoda of Oneida, a senior majoring in chemical engineering and mathematics, received the A. Douglas Burrow ’31 Endowed Scholarship.

Jason R. Cocca of Chittenango, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering and physics, received the NewPage Corporation Sponsored Scholarship.

Anthony C. Rosa of Oneida, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering and physics, received the Ernest ’42 and Constance Richmond Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Alexandra B. Cameron of Cazenovia, a sophomore honors student majoring in chemical engineering received the Nancy E. and James F. Wood ’64 Endowed Scholarship.

Logan Carsten of Eaton, a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering received the Class of 1947 Endowed Scholarship and the Stephen C. Redding ’63 Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Raeanne J. Clabeaux of New Woodstock, a sophomore majoring in university studies  received the George J. Stanley Endowed Scholarship.

Justin E. Gann of Oneida, a senior majoring in civil engineering received the Rita Fadale Wagner Class of 2013 Share Clarkson Direct Scholarship and the David L. Hall ’65, ’68 Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Bruce M. Gondeck of Bridgeport, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering received the John J. Bero Sr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Ryan M. Merrell of Canastota, a senior majoring in environmental engineering received the Earle E. Towlson ’27 Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Jeffrey R. Merrell of Canastota, a sophomore majoring in civil engineering received the John J. Bero Sr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Taylor Smith of Hamilton, a sophomore majoring in engineering & management received the Dr. Mark W. and Beulah Welch Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Shelby E. Stoker of Cazenovia, a senior majoring in electrical engineering received the Richard C. ’55 and Joy M. Dorf Endowed Scholarship.

Nicole M. Verone of Kirkville, a sophomore majoring in electrical engineering received the Fred and Betsy Garry Endowed Scholarship.

Students Named to Deans’ List at Hudson Valley Community College

Several local students were recently named to the Deans’ List at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. Each fall and spring term, the college’s Deans’ List honors those students who have a term grade point average between 3.0 and 3.5.

Local students include:

Michael Crawford of Cazenovia. Crawford is in the Non-matriculated academic program.

Morgan Cowherd of New Woodstock. Cowherd is in the Mortuary Science academic program.

Students Named to President’s List at Hudson Valley Community College

Several local students were recently named to the President’s List at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy.

Each fall and spring term, the college’s President’s List honors those students who have a term grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0. Local students include:

Valerie Fehrman of Munnsville. Fehrman is in the Health Information Management and Technology academic program at the college.

Trisha Wilson of Munnsville. Wilson is in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography academic program at the college.

Local Students Named to Dean’s List at Herkimer County Community College

Five hundred sixty four Herkimer County Community College students earned academic honors for the fall 2012 semester. The following local students were named to the Dean’s List for earning grade point averages from 3.25 to 3.8:

LaRae Lynne Egelston of Munnsville, a Liberal Arts & Sciences: Childhood Education major

Amy L. Ferguson of Canastota, a Paralegal major

Ashley A. Halsey of Canastota, a Travel and Tourism: Hospitality & Events Management major

Five hundred sixty four Herkimer County Community College students earned academic honors for the fall 2012 semester. The following local students were named to the President’s List for earning grade point averages of 3.8 and higher.

 Muraco Named to Dean’s List at University of Delaware

Lauren Muraco of Cazenovia has been added to the University of Delaware dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above for the semester.
