(Hamilton, NY – Jan. 2013) Citizens for Safe Energy will host a presentation on natural gas development Saturday, Jan. 19, at 10:30 a.m. in the Hamilton Public Library Community Room. The recent CSE and Upstate Institute natural gas development survey of Hamilton and Lebanon residents revealed a desire for more information on the subject.
The results of the survey, which focused on gas development using high-volume hydraulic fracturing, will be presented by Professor Kurt Reymers. Professors Adam Schoonmaker and Bruce Selleck will cover topics including the basic process of high-volume hydraulic fracturing, compulsory integration and the geological background, occurrence and possible timeline for development of the Marcellus and Utica shales in Central New York.
Citizens for Safe Energy is composed of Madison County residents who support best practices and public policies for natural resources development in order to ensure protection of our property values, our water and air quality and the vitality of our local economy including business, tourism and agriculture.
