2013 Calendar of Events, Membership Applications Available
(Brookfield, NY – Feb. 2013) The Brookfield Riding and Driving Association has released its 2013 Calendar of Events (note we had to change the date of the November meeting because of Thanksgiving), its 2013 list of shows and events and the 2013 membership application.
New this year, members get $1 off all horse show class entry fees at BRDA shows.
Our May 11 show and the Fair Open Horse show (July 14) have been approved by The Jockey Club for the Thoroughbred Incentive Program. The Jockey Club will be stricter this year about TB identification, so make sure you go to their website to obtain the proper ID for your TB. Visit tjctip.com/.
In addition, we will have an OTT Standardbred division at ALL our shows through the Central New York Standardbred Association.
The Tri-Valley Horse Show Association is pointing our May show so we expect a very large turnout.
We are planning a Dressage Schooling Show for June 1, which will include USDF Tests Intro through second level, as we did last year. Also new this year, we are adding Western Dressage Association of America Tests Intro & Basic levels.
The OTT Standardbred division will include USDF Intro tests A, B and C.
If you are interested in Western Dressage, e-mail me, and I will send you their rule book and the Intro and Basic tests.
When we apply for The Jockey Club TIP in 2014, we will add Western P
leasure.

Karen Nowak began showing hunters in her teens and later in life expanded her horizons to ridden dressage and driving. For the past 20 years she has owned, bred and shown Hackney Horses, which are a critically endangered breed. She is currently the president of the Brookfield Riding and Driving Association.
