Local Residents Named to Fall 2012 Dean’s List at SUNY Oneonta
The following local residents are among the 1,329 students who earned Dean’s List honors for the fall 2012 semester at SUNY Oneonta. To qualify for the Dean’s List, undergraduate students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 semester hours or more.

The following area students were named to the Dean’s List at Paul Smith’s College during the fall 2012 semester. Each earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction:

Local Students Named to Dean’s List
The College of Saint Rose in Albany announced that the following local residents were among 805 students named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester:
Matthew Bonville of Wampsville, Alyssa Loudon of Waterville and Kayla Rouse of Oneida.
Full-time students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail are eligible for inclusion on the Dean’s List.
Area Students Named to Hartwick College Dean’s List
The following area students have been named to the fall term Dean’s List at Hartwick:
Hartwick College senior Sean Carpenter of Chittenango, son of Stacey and Wayne Carpenter. Carpenter is majoring in music education.
Inclusion on Hartwick’s Dean List is an indication of excellent academic work, including the completion of a full course load with at least a 3.5 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.
Colgate Honors Dean’s list Students
The following students from Colgate University were recipients of the Dean’s Award for academic excellence during the 2012 fall term at Colgate University.
To be eligible for the Dean’s Award, a Colgate student must achieve a minimum 3.30 average while enrolled in at least four courses.

Perfect GPA Lands Local Residents on Provost’s List
The following students were named to the SUNY Oneonta Provost’s List for the fall 2012 semester. Of the more than 5,800 undergraduates enrolled at the college, 106 qualified for the fall 2012 Provost’s List by earning a perfect GPA while carrying a course load of at least 12 semester hours.

Belanger Receives Degree
Evan H. Belanger of Oneida graduated from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Dec. 16 during the Commencement Ceremony held at the University’s Athletic and Fitness Center. Belanger graduated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice.

The following students are participating in St. Lawrence University’s International Study Program for the spring 2013 semester.
Garth D. Curtis of North Brookfield; Curtis, a member of the class of 2014 at St. Lawrence, is studying in Austria. Curtis graduated from Waterville Jr-Sr HS.
Nathan P. Mallinder of Oneida; Mallinder, a member of the class of 2014 at St. Lawrence, is studying in China. Mallinder graduated from Oneida HS.
