Lynch to Attend RIT

Calley Lynch, daughter of Daren Lynch and Jill Christian-Lynch of Oneida, has enrolled for Fall Semester, 2013 admission at Rochester Institute of Technology. Calley is in the Physician Assistant – BS program in RIT’s College of Health Sciences and Technology and is a 2013 graduate of Oneida High School.

Gibson-Faber Honored as Benton Scholar

Jerod Gibson-Faber, a graduate of Canastota Jr.-Sr. High School, is one of just 18 students in the Class of 2016 selected as a Benton Scholar at Colgate University in Hamilton. Gibson-Faber is from Canastota.

Benton Scholars are selected not only for their ability to lead and think, but also for their passion to make a positive impact on the world. The four-year program includes access to on-campus speakers, special courses, and a travel component.

Students Selected for Biology Honorary Society at St. Lawrence University

(Madison) The following students have been selected for membership in the St. Lawrence University chapter of Beta Beta Beta, the national biology honorary society: Brett M. Ford of Madison is a member of the class of 2013 and majoring in biology. Ford graduated from Madison Central School; and Lindsey P. Wratten, of Waterville is a member of the class of 2014 and majoring in biology. Wratten graduated from Waterville Jr.-Sr. High School.

To be eligible for membership, a student must have completed four biology courses and have a 3.5 grade-point average (based on a perfect 4.0 scale) in those courses and a 3.25 overall academic average.
