Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County

(Morrisville, NY – April 2013) Calling all farmers! Are you interested in grants? New to farming and need some startup capital? Need help with a business plan? Get all of these questions answered at once at Cornell Cooperative Extension’s upcoming workshop “A Dollar and A Dream: A Hands On Funding for Farmers Workshop” to be held April 18 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Ag Center at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 100 Eaton St. in Morrisville.

The workshop will feature panelists from a variety of funding programs that will first give an overview of their funding and business planning program, followed by a Q & A session.

Following, there will be small group working sessions with each panelist so attendees can ask their questions directly and receive one-on-one assistance.

The panelists include: Craig Pollock, Farm Credit East, David Grusenmeyer, NY Farm Viability Institute, Karen McDonnell & Gary Pereira, Rural Development, Kipp Hicks & Michael Magnusson, Madison County Industrial Development Agency, Laurie Fuess, Farm Service Agency. Madison County Executive Director, Linda Whiteman, Farm Service Agency, Farm Loan Manager, Violet Stone, Northeast SARE, Scott Ingmire, Madison County Planning, Ag District Program, Beth McKellips, Madison County’s Agricultural Revolving Loan Fund, and Mohawk Valley Small Business Development Center.

Attendance is free but registration is required before April 12.
