(Town of Sullivan, NY – May 2013) It wouldn’t be a fishing derby in the town of Sullivan without snow! The Town of Sullivan Parks and Recreation Department held its annual fishing derby Saturday, April 20. Even though the wind was blowing and the snow was falling, it did not stop the children and parents from coming out and casting their fishing poles!
Every event we have, I cannot stress enough about the importance of our volunteers. The reason these events are possible is because of our reliable volunteers! The way that our community organizations come together and show their willingness to donate towards our events is what makes this town exceptional.
Thank you again to all the volunteers and participants for coming out to enjoy this year’s fishing derby. It is fun helping to build memories for all of the community members, and I look forward to next year … we are hoping for warmer weather, though!
