More than 230 students to receive diplomas

(Cazenovia, NY – May 2013) On Saturday, May 18, Cazenovia College’s Class of 2013 will accept their diplomas, turn their tassels and become alumni. More than 230 students will graduate at the 188th Commencement Ceremony, beginning at 10:30 a.m., on the College’s quad. (Inclement weather location is the Athletic Complex on Liberty St., and tickets will be required.)

Cazenovia College alumnus Major Dorion Germany will address the graduates. Germany assumed command as the headquarters chief of a United States Army Trial Defense Service detachment in 2012, where he oversees the operations of approximately 160 JAG defense attorneys and paralegals.

In addition to the formal remarks made by Major Germany and the presentation of awards and diplomas, alumna Jeanne E. “Betty” Priest Putney, of Cazenovia, will receive an honorary doctor of humane letters degree, and Polly and John H. Koerner, of Cazenovia, will receive the College’s distinguished service award.
