(Morrisville, NY- May 31, 2013) The North Eastern Athletic ConferenSONY DSCce (NEAC) announced the winners of the 2012-13 President’s Cup during the conference’s annual spring retreat this week, with Morrisville State College capturing the men’s crown for a second consecutive year.

The President’s Cup is based on the institution’s overall winning percentage from the entire academic year, and is calculated through a points system that takes into account each school’s final regular season standings for team sports and championship finish for individual sports within conference competition. It is awarded on both the men’s and women’s side, along with an overall award.

Morrisville State took home the regular season title in men’s basketball and finished as conference runner-ups in men’s soccer and cross country over the course of the athletic season, compiling a .847 winning percentage for the year, as they accumulated 30.5 points out of a possible 36 to finish atop the men’s standings.

The Mustangs were fifth in the overall cup standings with a win percentage of .590, and finished 11th in the women’s cup standings with a winning percentage of .432.

Penn State Berks won the women’s division and took home the overall cup for the first time.
