To the Editor:
(Town of Sullivan, NY – June 2013) Every year, the Town of Sullivan Parks and Recreation Department and SARDA hold a golf tournament to raise money for its scholarship program. Unfortunately, the tournament did not run this year due to the lack of teams for the event.
Despite the cancellation, the community continued to show their support for the programs by donating to the scholarship fund.
The Town of Sullivan Parks and Rec. Department would like to recognize and applaud the following donors: Bud and Mary Lou Penner, The Leisure Time Club, Charles Coakley, Dick and Marty Sullivan, William and Judy Farrell, Oneida Savings Bank in Chittenango, New York Bus Sales, CNY Diagnostics and the Chittenango Soccer Club.
It is generous gestures such as this that indicate the amount of support our community has for the Town of Sullivan Recreation Department’s programs.
Thank you all for your continued support – hopefully, next year, we will see the return of the golf tournament.
