Mary Cohen , CCE Madison County volunteer, recently obtained NY State Certification for the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.

(Madison County, NY – June 2013) Mary Cohen successfully completeMary Cohen for webd the required New York State 36 hour Certification training course to become a Long Term Care Ombudsman. 

Mary will be joining the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) in Madison County, which is sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension.  She will join other dedicated volunteers who advocate for residents in Madison County Nursing Homes and Adult Homes.  Ombudsmen work to ensure the rights of residents and to improve their care and enhance the quality of their lives.
