(Erieville, NY – June 2013) Join the Erieville and Cazenovia community in a walk-a-thon around Tuscarora Lake (5 miles) and benefit to support the family of Christine LaFave as they fight breast cancer Saturday June 29.
The walk begins at 9 a.m. and the benefit (live music, food and raffle) begins at 11 a.m. on Walrath Road, Tuscorara Lake, Erieville.
The event is being changed to a block party due to the excellent response and the limited parking at the Blue Canoe. We want to thank Trish and Pete for their support of the event.
Walk participation is $10 and the benefit is $10 per person, kids under 12 walk free.
All proceeds benefit Grace LaFave and donations are being accepted in her name at M&T Bank at 43 Albany Street in Cazenovia.

Perhaps the “non-refundable” deposit of $500 that was not returned by Mrs. Bookbinding, owner of the Blue Canoe, for the event being moved from her establishment to the LaFave home, should now be released to M&T Bank in Cazenovia for Christina LaFave. This deposit was not released back to the event planner when it was suggested by the Blue Canoe that the event be “limited” to a certain number because they haven’t enough parking areas. Mrs. LaFave currently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, lives less than a quarter of a mile from the Blue Canoe, and is a neighbor and was a frequent patron of the restaurant.
