Canastota Churches offer Vacation Bible School
(Canastota, NY – July 2013) The Canastota Area Association of Churches annually reaches out to all local young people from pre-school (age four) through high school to participate in a community-wide, ecumenical Vacation Bible School (VBS). This year’s program, entitled “God’s Backyard Bible Camp: Under the Sun,” is based on five Bible stories from the Old and New Testament that will inspire kids to serve family, friends, neighbors, community and, most importantly, Jesus!
VBS will be held nightly from Aug. 12 through 16 at the United Church, 144 West Center St. with registration 6 to 6:30 p.m. A general opening assembly with audience participation, including lively singing and service challenges, will begin each evening at 6:30 p.m., followed by age-appropriate classes, crafts, refreshments, music, games, and a closing program, with activities ending around 8:30 p.m.
“God’s Backyard Bible Camp” will be an inspirational and educational experience for all area youngsters.
