2013) As part of CNY ASTD’s (Central New York Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development) recent CNY BEST Learning and Performance Awards Ceremony, CNY ASTD awarded a CNY ASTD John Burns Memorial Scholarship Award to Steven DeHart of Chittenango.
DeHart is a Leadership Skills Trainer for Progressive Insurance. CNY ASTD established the CNY ASTD Scholarship Program to encourage and support continuing education and professional development in the field of workforce learning and development.
DeHart is continuing his education through a masters degree program, and his professional development by studying for the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance credential. The scholarship award is named in honor of CNY ASTD’s 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award winner John Burns.
