Third Rail Cars of Oneida Railway Co(Canastota, NY – Oct. 2013) The Madison County Historical Society invites its members and the public to the society’s Annual Dinner and Program on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Leandro’s Restaurant, 7133 Seneca Turnpike in Canastota.

The sit-down dinner is at 4:30 pm with a cash bar offered at 4 pm.

The evening’s Program, “Madison County Railroaders & Railroad Admirers” will be presented by guest speaker John Taibi.

Reservations must be made by Oct. 21.

Taibi is the author of numerous books about railroads. His program will highlight stories of people who had worked and admired the New York Central, Oneida Railway Company, and Ontario & Western railroads. Mr. Taibi is a resident of Munnsville and lives in the New York, Ontario & Western Depot.

The Madison County Historical Society will be selling raffle tickets during the dinner. Prizes range from the many craft items donated by the crafter vendors at the historical society’s 49th Annual Craft Days. The winning tickets will be drawn at the Annual Dinner; winner(s) need not to be present to win. All proceeds benefit restoration at the Madison County Historical Society.
