(Oneida, NY – Jan. 2014) To celebrate their latest CD filled with original tunes, the String Bee band returns to Oneida Public Library in concert Saturday afternoon Jan. 25 at 2 p.m.

The Camden band features Dave Liddy at the keyboard and vocals, John O’Hara at the hammered dulcimer and Steve Quenneville at the acoustic guitar and vocals. Their music is a mixture of bluegrass, Appalachian and pop performed with distinctive instrumentals and harmonies.

The String Bee teamed up recently to produce their fourth CD, “Water over the Dam,” which showcases 13 newly minted original songs and instrumentals as well as a special treatment of the Rogers and Hammerstein favorite “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’.”

String Bee will also reprise at the library original songs from their previous albums: “Cross Pollination,” “Simple Clarity and “Alive from the Hive,” which won the best recording award in the various styles category at the 2005 Syracuse Area Music Awards competition.

The String Bee’s performance is free and open to the public.
