Submitted by Chris Rossi for Hamilton Town Council

(Hamilton, NY – Feb. 2, 2014) Survey collection for the Town of Hamilton Comprehensive Plan ended in mid-December and more than 500 community members responded by mail or online. Thanks to all who filled out a survey and shared their concerns and wishes for Hamilton! This very impressive response represents over 30 percent of those surveyed.

The Comprehensive Plan committee is working on the next steps in the process – taking the data from the survey and the visioning workshop to create a vision statement for the Town. That information is also being used to structure focus groups centered on brainstorming solutions for areas of concern identified in the survey and workshop. This spring, planners Nan Stolzenburg and Don Meltz will conduct the focus groups with local community stakeholders on Agriculture, Housing, Energy, Economic Development and Recreation.
