(Oneida, Herkimer, NY – Feb. 2014) Herkimer County Community College announced the appointment of Rebecca L. Kohler of Oneida to the position of Director of Admissions, effective Jan. 21. Kohler will provide leadership for the continued development and implementation of Herkimer College’s admissions and enrollment management plan.
Kohler was recently employed at Upper New York United Methodist Church, the Upper New York area in Syracuse where she was the Associate Director of Marketing & Public Relations.
Kohler holds a B.S. in Public Law & Government from Eastern Michigan University and an M.A. in Political Science from Syracuse University.
Her additional professional affiliations include: strategic communications/PR for Metropolitan Charities; tutoring immigrants at the Good News New Hope Club; teaching and construction at Collegia Metodista de San Carlos; VP of Commission at United Methodist Communications and was an economic development consultant for the Mayor of Oneida.
Kohler also has provided public relations for the Oneida Area Artist Association and was a grant writer for the Oneida Public Library and Kallet Civic Center.
