New exhibit celebrates 100th anniversary of Mother’s Day

(Earlville, NY – April 2014) Actually, a photograph of your mother, to be more precise, or your grandmother or great-grandmother – the remarkable women from our past without whom none of us would be here today.

The photographs, accompanied by a paragraph about what made these women unique, will comprise a new community exhibit in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Mother’s Day this year.

Photographs should be framed and ready to hang with a frame size of at least 5” x 7”, accompanied by a completed intake form, and should be submitted by April 18.  The intake form can be found on the EOH website at www.earlvilleoperahouse.com (there’s a direct link in the sidebar under “Celebrating 100 Years of Mothers”).   Forms can also be picked up during office hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or noon to 3 p.m. on Saturdays at 18 East Main St. in Earlville.

This special exhibit honoring the mothers of our past and highlighting community families will open to the public on Saturday May 10, in a newly renovated gallery at EOH, in conjunction with the Mad Hatter’s Mother’s Day Tea Party in the Arts Café.

For additional information and full submission details, visit the website or call 691-3550.
