Celebration planned May 6 at Sullivan Free Library

(Chittenango, NY- May 2014) On Tuesday, May 6 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Sullivan Free Library at 101 Falls Blvd. in Chittenango, a county-wide GED graduation party will be hosted for 30 local students who received their GED this past year.

These students earned their high school equivalency diploma after having been tutored one-on-one at a public library in Madison County.

After a short program, GED grads will have their picture taken in a graduation cap and gown, have some cake, and enjoy being celebrated for their achievements.

Madison County Reads Ahead (MCRA) has provided GED tutoring for 8 years and will continue to provide tutoring for the new NYS high school equivalency program, known as TASC.  The MCRA TASC program also acts as a referral source for educational and career services programs in Madison County.
