(Wampsville, NY – May 2014) Madison County Board of Supervisors Health and Human Services Committee Chairman Alexander Stepanski (R – Stockbridge) speaks about child abuse prevention April 4 in the County Office Building lobby. Employees purchased pinwheels for $5 each in exchange for wearing jeans on a Friday. Employees were encouraged to wear blue April 4.
Pinwheels for Prevention lined the entrance of the County Office Building. Coordinated through the Madison County Department of Social Services, county employees were given the opportunity to purchase pinwheels for $5 each to plant in the county’s pinwheel garden. Employees contributed $925 toward prevention. Aadon’s Peace Fund announced recently that it would match the county contribution, benefiting the Liberty Resources Victims of Violence Program in the amount of $1,850.
