(Town of Lenox, NY – June 2014) The Great Swamp Conservancy, Inc., is recipient of a grant for $25,000 from the Gorman Foundation of Sherrill. This money is already being used in the ongoing project of constructing a Museum of Natural History and a Community Center. This money will be used for the tongue-and-groove pine ceiling and siding for some of the interior walls.

It will also be used for lighting, which National Grid considers highly efficient and qualifies the GSC for credits toward the purchase.

The security fire system will also be installed in this phase of construction.

“None of this would be possible without the constant and very generous support that the Gorman Foundation has given to us over the years and today,” said GSC President Michael J. Patane.
