Director of operations to service CNY, North Country regions
(Canastota, NY – July 2014) Denise Plano has joined HCR Home Care as the regional director of operations – North Country and Central New York. In her new role, Plano is based in HCR’s Canastota office.
Plano, MHA, MSN, RN, CPHQ, comes to HCR from Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Essex County, where she served as chief clinical and quality officer. She was responsible for overseeing all nursing and quality departments including clinical management, process improvement, regulatory compliance and risk management activities.
Other experience included serving as operations manager for inpatient services and director of resource management at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County. Plano also is an adjunct professor of Nursing Management and Leadership at SUNY Plattsburgh.

A resident of New Russia, Plano holds a master’s degree in Health Administration from Saint Joseph’s College, a master’s degree in Nursing from SUNY Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh.
