(Oneida, NY – Aug. 2014) E-Waste collection center on Farrier Avenue in Oneida is no longer accepting Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) devices as a part of their e-waste collection service at this time.

CRT’s include televisions with tubes and older computer monitors.  This change is due to e-waste processors being concerned about the high cost of managing CRT glass due to the concentration of lead in the materials and that there are no longer markets for the glass.

E-Waste is operated by Madison Cortland Arc and will still accept other electrical waste such as scanners, printers, radios, digital cameras, etc. and the hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
