Nurses Union Endorses Magee
(Sept. 2014) The New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA), as an extension of the work fighting for quality and affordable patient care for all New Yorkers, endorsed Bill Magee for re-election to the State Assembly. NYSNA – which represents more than 37,000 registered nurses throughout the state – has led the fight to safeguard community hospitals and ensuring health care access in every community in New York.
“Given the current state of healthcare in New York, this legislative session may prove to be crucial in the fight for access to quality care for all New Yorkers – from Buffalo to Brooklyn,” said Judy Sheridan-Gonzalez, RN, President of the New York State Nurses Association. “Bill stood with us to prevent the for-profit takeover of healthcare, support safe staffing ratio legislation and protect workers’ rights.
