(Oneida, NY – Sept. 2014) The Board of Trustees of Oneida Health Systems, Inc., has announced the appointment of John D. Milligan, FACHE, FHFMA, CPA, to the position of vice president for finance.
Milligan has an extensive background in healthcare finance, most recently serving as consulting partner at Fust Charles Chamber, LLP, in Dewitt, where he managed the activities of the firm’s healthcare consulting practice.
Prior to that, he served as the director of the provider audit department at Empire Medicare Services in Syracuse, vice president of finance/treasurer at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center in Syracuse and chief financial officer at A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton.
Milligan holds a bachelor of science degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, where he majored in accounting with a minor in computer sciences. His professional certifications include: certified public accountant (New York); fellow, Healthcare Financial Management Association; certified managed care professional; fellow, American College of Healthcare Executives; and a masters certificate in government contracting.
Milligan resides in Liverpool with his family and is a volunteer coach of the Liverpool Optimist basketball program.
