(Bouckville, NY – Sept. 2014) The Chenango Canal Association (CCA) announces a Can-and-Bottle Drive to raise money with the Chenango Canal Association’s CAN-DO PROJECT happening now through Oct. 5.
Over the last several years, CAN-DO has become an important fundraiser that helps pay for maintenance, repairs and improvements on the Chenango Canal Towpath Trail and Canal Cottage Museum.
Call John Thorna at (315) 838-0144 for pick-up or drop bagged cans and bottles in the blue barrels at Whistle Post Antiques, 6845 State Route 20, Bouckville; the Canal Cottage Museum across from the Landmark Restaurant in Bouckville; or at the red pole barn next to Diane and Fran Van Slyke’s house at 6852 Indian Opening Road, Bouckville.
To make it even easier, returnable bottles and cans also be left at Caz Cans at 2352 State Rt. 12B, Hamilton. Just tell them they are for the Chenango Canal Association and they will tally it up and keep it on our account.
The CCA looks forward to ending this year with major improvements for the Canal Cottage Museum and appreciates your help with our projects.
