Walk to Step Off from First Presbyterian Church
(Oneida, NY – Oct. 2014) The Oneida Area Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty Walk for hunger will step off from the First Presbyterian Church, 304 Broad St., Oneida , at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19.
One purpose of The Oneida Area CROP Walk is to increase awareness, understanding and action to alleviate hunger. Monies raised will be used to help fight hunger in our community and provide relief development around the world. This is a rain-or-shine event. Registration will begin at 1:30 p.m.
The goal this year is to have 500 walkers. Walkers are invited to bring a canned food item. Walkers have a choice of two walk lengths. The Golden Mile for those who may need a shortened walk, as well as the traditional three-mile walk.
