(Sherburne, NY – Nov. 2014) The Chenango Bird Club presents “Finding and Raising Luna and other Large Moths” on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at Rogers Environmental Education Center’s Bird Exhibit Cabin.
Local Butterfly and Moth expert and author, David Bouton will present photos and strategies for very close encounters with our largest moths, learning about their fascinating life cycles, and assisting moth conservation. Raising moths is a wonderful family activity; full of educational opportunities, a chance to explore the natural world and the excitement of watching one of Mother Nature’s miracles at work.
Refreshments will be served following David’s presentation. Prior to the show, the Chenango Bird Club will have a short business meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend all or part of the evening’s activities.
The Chenango Bird Club presents monthly programs (except January, February, and March). Nature enthusiasts of all levels and interests are invited to all Chenango Bird Club programs, free of charge. Rogers Center is located one mile west of Sherburne Village on State Highway 80. Park in the main parking lot and walk to the end of the lot to the Bird Exhibit Cabin.
