(New Woodstock, NY – Nov. 2014) Beginning Nov. 5, the New Woodstock Free Library is showcasing the many programs and services provided by Madison County departments and agencies.
Titled “Madison County Works for You,” the exhibit will highlight the essential services provided for residents.
This exhibit is a month-long display of materials intended to educate and remind the public of the many functions of our county government that enrich our lives, keep us safe and stimulate the growth and health of our citizens and our economy.
The first displays up last week were Youth Bureau, Sheriff’s Office, Public Health and the Board of Elections.
What the county has brought so far is very impressive, but even more impressive is the enthusiasm and dedication the county people have for their work and for this show. We are keeping a log of contact information from each of the departments to help connect people to programs and services they may need.
Children’s story hour is held every Tuesday at 11 a.m. Family movie night is held the third Friday of every month. The movies begin at 7 p.m.
