(Oneida, NY – Jan. 2015) The Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce is proud to that announce that Tim Hortons has been awarded January Business of the Month.
Tim Hortons is a multi-international quick service restaurant committed to providing the ultimate guest experience by serving “Always Fresh” products of coffee, hot and cold beverages, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, oatmeal, home-style soups and chilies, grilled Panini and classic sandwiches and wraps served by friendly staff members. The restaurant is locally owned and operated by Gary and Sharon Taylor, and located on Genesee Street in Oneida.
The restaurant promotes itself through the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation. Its annual Camp Day fundraiser is held the first Wednesday of June. On Camp Day, 100-percent of the coffee sales are donated to this initiative. It is the single-most important fundraiser for the Oneida location because it sends two economically disadvantaged Oneida-area children to camp each summer. The camp experience provides programs to help these children develop lifelong skills.
The chamber recently launched its new program to honor a deserving member business each month. Chamber members can take part by submitting a Member of the Month form, found on the chamber website www.oneidachamberny.org.
