(Town of Lebanon, NY, Pittsford, NY) After tallying all the figures, Campground Owners of New York (CONY) announced that Lebanon Reservoir Campground in Hamilton,  operated by the Hartshorn family, raised $200 in donations for Camp Good Days and Special Times, as part of CONY’s third annual statewide fundraising event for charity held throughout 2014.

According to Suzanne Bixby, CONY’s Marketing and Communications Director, the association’s fundraising over the past three years has brought in over $150,000 for Camp Good Days.

“This year, CONY campgrounds and campers raised more than $61,400 for Camp Good Days and Special Times, our largest amount yet in our three years of fundraising for the cause,” Bixby said. “We’ve exceeded our goals and expectations every year, and there’s no small amount of pride throughout our association that we’ve been able to provide $150,000 worth of memories for kids, adults and families dealing with cancer.”

According to Truman Hartshorn, charitable giving highlighted a great camping season at the park, with two charities benefiting from fundraising efforts.

“While enjoying their camping experience in the great outdoors at Lebanon Reservoir Campground during the summer, guests also gave back generously to others less fortunate,” Hartshorn said. “Two charities where chosen for special attention in 2014: Camp Good Days and the Galisano Children’s Hospital.”

In addition to funds raised for Camp Good Days, the park also raised another $1,500 for Galisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse.
