(Feb. 2015) The Nazareth College Department of Music Symphony Orchestra, conducted by assistant professor Nancy Strelau, presented its annual Rising Stars concert Feb. 13 in the Linehan Chapel. The concert features the 80-member orchestra and the winners of two on-campus music competitions. Camen Hunn of Chittenango is one of the competition winners who was featured in the concert.
Each year, Nazareth College Music majors compete for the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Nazareth College Symphony Orchestra in the Concerto/Aria Competition. The 2014-2015 competition winners are junior music education major violist Camen Hunn; senior vocal performance major Gabrielle LaBarre; and senior trumpet music therapy major Norene Meyer.
Bloss Graduates from The University of Findlay

The following students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester at the University of Vermont.
To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Roman Named to President’s List
Carlie Roman, a psychology major from Chittenango has been named to the President’s List at Sienna College.
Maliga earned Dean’s List Honors
Sean Maliga of Cazenovia earned dean’s list honors at Saint Joseph’s University for the Fall 2014 semester. Sean is majoring in Sports Marketing at the University. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits to earn dean’s list status for a semester.
