cross-church1-150x150(Canastota, NY – March 2015) Pastor Tom Burgess of Hope Christian Fellowship will conclude a teaching series on the covenants of the Bible with a special service on Holy Thursday April 2 beginning at 6:30 p.m.  The topic will be “The New Covenant” and the service will include a celebration of the Lord’s Supper as the covenant meal instituted on that night.

The church will then launch a new sermon series and a group Bible study based on the Book of Acts in conjunction with the NBC television series “A.D.” beginning on Easter Sunday, April 5.  For the next twelve weeks, each Sunday morning sermon will feature video previews from that evening’s broadcast; in addition, each Thursday evening the group Bible study will include powerful lessons from that week’s episode and help people discover what the truths in the Book of Acts mean for their lives and faith today.

Easter is just the beginning. The series picks up where “The Bible” miniseries left off—with the resurrection of Jesus—and depicts the action-packed journeys of the early followers of Christ, as recorded in the first ten chapters of the Book of Acts.

Sunday services are held at 10:30 a.m., and Thursday Bible studies at 6:30 p.m.

The church meets at 119 South Peterboro St.
