Sherlock Named to Dean’s List
The College of Saint Rose in Albany announced that Alicia Sherlock of Bridgeport has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2015 semester.
Full-time students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail are eligible for the Dean’s List.
Students enroll at RIT for the 2015-2016 school year
The following new students are planning to join Rochester Institute of Technology this fall:
Orresta Paddock of Cazenovia, son of Donna Paddock of Cazenovia and David Paddock of New Woodstock is in the Journalism – BS program in RIT’s College of Liberal Arts.
Miles Partipelo of Oneida, son of Gina Partipelo is in the Civil Engineering Technology – BS program in RIT’s College of Applied Science and Technology. Miles is a 2015 graduate of Oneida Senior High School.
Gysin named to Dean’s List
Sumire Gysin, of Sherburne has earned Highest Honors for the spring semester of the 2014-2015 academic year at the University of New Hampshire.
Students named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance. Highest Honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
Grimm Earns Degree
At the University of Rhode Island’s 129th Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17 about 3,200 undergraduate and 660 graduate students became the University’s newest alumni.
Rachel Elizabeth Grimm of Cazenovia received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, Minor in Kinesiology Cum Laude.
Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.
Springfield College Recognizes 2015 Graduates
Springfield College recently held its commencement weekend where 621 master’s degrees, nine certificates of advanced graduate study, 16 doctor of philosophy degrees, and 27 doctoral of physical therapy degrees were awarded at the graduate commencement ceremony. At the undergraduate commencement, 973 bachelor’s degrees were awarded for a two-day total of 1646 degrees.
The following area residents were recognized for studies completed in 2015:
Jared Hatz of Sherburne has earned a master’s of science degree in Exercise Science and Sport Studies
Daniel Patane of Canastota has earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Psychology
