
(Morrisville, NY – July 7, 2015) Morrisville State College’s hospitality department announces the following International Food Service Executives Association (IFSEA) Awards.
Nathaniel Lovell, of Cazenovia, a restaurant management major, received an IFSEA South Carolina Palmetto Branch Scholarship. A member of the gold medal team in the IFSEA Bistro Challenge, Lovell works at the Copper Turret, a college-run restaurant, serves as the IFSEA student president and was named to the college’s Dean’s List.
Hayley Klein, of Eaton, was the recipient of an IFSEA Aloha Hawaii Branch Scholarship. An honors student, Klein plans to establish her own event planning business.
Nicole deVito, of Fabius, received the IFSEA Guam Branch Scholarship. DeVito, an honors student, served as IFSEA vice president.
Kimberly Scimeca, of Fort Edward, is the recipient of the IFSEA Dunsmoor Family Scholarship. Scimeca, a resort and recreation service management major, is an honors student who plans to work at Disney when she graduates.
The IFSEA Bill Leonard Scholarship was presented to Daniel Della Vecchia, from Goshen. The Bill Leonard Scholarship is named for a former IFSEA chairman who passed away unexpectedly. A restaurant management major, Della Vecchia is a member of the gold medal team in the IFSEA Bistro Challenge and serves as Sergeant at Arms for the IFSEA student branch.
Ariell Mack, of Morrisville, was awarded an IFSEA Worthy Goal Scholarship. Mack, a culinary arts management major, works at the Copper Turret, a college-run restaurant.
