Local Graduates of Colgate University Announced
(July 2015) Members of the Colgate University Class of 2015 received their diplomas at the university’s 194th commencement May 17.
Mary Beehm of North Brookfield majored in English and is a graduate of Brookfield Central School
Connor Clinton of Cazenovia majored in International Relations and Chinese and is a graduate of Punahou School
Robert Connor of Cazenovia majored in Political Science and is a graduate of Cazenovia High School
Matthew LeGro of Kirkville majored in Physics and is a graduate of East Syracuse Minoa Central HS
Robison Named to Dean’s List
Mary Robison, a freshman Biochemistry major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2015 semester. Mary is a 2014 graduate of Homeschooled and is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Edward Robison (Christine) from Cazenovia.
Students eligible for the Dean’s List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean’s List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean’s List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.
Suttmeier Earns Degree
Jane Suttmeier of Oneida graduated May 10 from Ohio Wesleyan University. Suttmeier earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Mead Selected to Serve as Orientation Leader
Brian Mead of Sherburne was selected to serve as a SUNY Oneonta Orientation Leader for the 2015-2016 academic year.
In addition to leading activities for new students and their parents during 10 summer orientation sessions, Orientation Leaders welcome new students into their new community by leading small groups, answering questions about the college and college life, and mentoring new students through the first few weeks of the semester. Orientation Leaders are selected through a rigorous application and interview process. They receive a stipend for their work.
Mead is majoring in Physics at SUNY Oneonta.

Zachary L. Bonavita of Cazenovia. Bonavita is a member of the Class of 2016, majoring in biology. He attended Pomfret School.
Hannah C. Chanatry of Cazenovia. Chanatry is a member of the Class of 2015, majoring in english and performance and communication arts . She attended Cazenovia High School.
Bailey J. O’Keeffe of Hamilton. O’Keeffe is a member of the Class of 2016, majoring in psychology. She attended Hamilton Central School.
Liam B. Ryan of Cazenovia. Ryan is a member of the Class of 2015, majoring in economics-mathematics combined. He attended Cazenovia High School.
John R. St. Denny of Bridgeport. St. Denny is a member of the Class of 2018. He attended Cicero-North Syracuse High School.
To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.
Albany Law School Celebrates 2015 Graduates
Albany Law School celebrated its most recent graduates at the school’s 164th Commencement, held May 15, 2015, at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs.

The State University of New York at New Paltz announces the conferral of nearly 1,100 undergraduate degrees following the conclusion of the spring 2015 semester.

Pierce Named PSAC Scholar-Athlete
Mansfield University student-athlete Sara Pierce of Chittenango has earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2014-15 academic year.
In order to achieve PSAC Scholar-Athlete status, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average while competing in an intercollegiate varsity sport.
