(Canastota, NY – Aug. 2015) The Office for the Aging & the Alzheimer’s Association, Central NY Chapter, will hold a “free” workshop for caregivers pertaining to “Living with Alzheimer’s – late stage.” This program will offer the opportunity to learn about the late stage of Alzhiemer’s disease and related dementias as well as information needed to provide an optimal end of life care.
Topics will include Effective Communication Strategies and Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors.
The workshop will be held at the Madison County Office for the Aging, 138 Dominic Bruno Blvd., Canastota on Thursday Aug. 27 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Light refreshments will be available.
